Can I get copies of scores/recordings?
Yes, but only if the work is published under license by the bmic, i.e. as part of the New Voices, Contemporary Voices, Chamber Music Exchange or Chamber Music 2000 schemes or if “bmic/Composer”appears in the publisher field of our on-line database

We cannot copy recordings or published works protected under copyright legislation.

Do you lend materials?
No, the bmic is a reference library only.

Can I get perusal scores?
No, but you can come in to bmic to look at scores. Nearly 3,000 scores can be viewed, and in some cases, downloaded, online from our web-site.

Do you have programme notes?
We have some information in our composer files, and also in the front of scores where the composer has provided them. Making Music has selected notes also (www.makingmusic.org.uk)
